Hello socialites.
As all of us know, Blair Waldorf is "Queen B" of the Upper-East Side of Manhattan, calling all the sheep of NewYork into line by offering her royal services as a dominant leader to be thoroughly used at disposal.
Who else is better fitted for the job of teaching wannabe's and fan girls how to be socially covered by any and all of their onlookers?
1. "Keep your friends close, and enemies closer" Always keep an eye out for Jenny Humphrey trying to knock your crown from your glossy locks, be battle ready for a swift takedown of anyone that stands in your way (relating to the real world; don't allow anything to loose sight of your goals, stay focused and have purpose and thought behind your actions.)
2. Blair changes for no one, being queen is not being dictated to by anyone. Don't conform to images of perfect or smart or pretty, own your style and look to prevent any misunderstanding of being a twin dressing minion. A queen is made memorable through her flare and something she has different that ones subjects admire.
3. Whoever heard of a queen with no support? Collect a clan of minions, subjects and fellow socialite queens, networking events and ways of increasing contacts is your best friend. Take advantage of all those high prestige events to enlighten your phone book.
4. Have high ambitions and believe in yourself, nobody gets anywhere with constant doubting and putting themselves down.
5. The whole point is being talked about, put your name out there, making yourself heard is easier with more people there are to hear you.
6. Enrich your vocabulary and ensure your verbalisations are grammatically correct. A queen is always well spoken and our own Miss Waldorf is no exception from that rule, all those years of finishing school has to pay off in some way.
7. Blair sure as hell knows how to throw a party. Dig out those crystal champagne glasses, there never needs to be a reason to drink champagne.
8. Know your stuff, it's best to say nothing unless you're 100% sure of yourself. Blair knows her designers backwards and would never be caught in the wrong ones, do research and keep your facts on point.
There are your 8 simple rules my socialites in training, until next time...
xoxo, Lauren
